Rules and Regulations Players Code of Conduct

Players at junior level (under twelve (12) and below age groups)


Set a positive example for others, particularly young players and supporters.

Not use any inappropriate language towards match official’s supporters, opposition, team mates, coaches or your parents.

When representing HALE LEYS UTD football club behave in a manner that will only bring positive comments from match officials and the opposing players and managers by using FAIRPLAY rules.

Always respect your team mates, but do not be afraid to speak to your Coach or Welfare Officer if something is making you unhappy.

Wear the correct kit/equipment for Training, Matches and Tournaments, Football Boots, Shin Pads, Full Hale Leys Utd Kit or Appropriate kit dependant on format. (please be aware you may be refused participation due to safety reasons should you not have the right equipment)

Respect towards ALL opponents.

Treat opponents with due respect at all times, irrespective of the result of the game.

Respect towards match officials.

Accept the decision of the match official without protest.

Show due respect towards match officials.

Play fairly – I won’t cheat, complain or waste time.

Shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game.

Listen and respond to what my coach/ team manager asks me.

Talk to someone I trust at the club such as(Welfare Officer/Coaches) if I’m unhappy about anything at my club that has upset me.

I will NOT go on to the Pitches at ANY VENUE at Training, Matches, Tournaments until my Coaches give me permission to do so as this will keep me safe from injury.


I will not take any Footballs or any other Equipment from any bag at Training, Matches, Tournaments unless otherwise authorised/instructed by my Coaches.

You must let your coach know if you would like a Drink or Toilet break that is during a training session or Match/Tournament so that we(Coaches) are aware of where you are at all times.

If you need to leave early from Training, Matches, Tournaments then you must let your Coach and Parents/Guardians know first before any activity/match starts


*I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by my club HALE LEYS UTD,County FA or The FA:

Be required to apologise to my team-mates, the other team, referee or team manager.

Receive a formal warning from the coach or the club committee.Be dropped or substituted.

Be suspended from training.

Be required to leave the club within agreement with the Clubs Committee.
